Vineyards in Moedling, Gumpoldskirchen, and Guntramsdorf:
Our vineyards are located in the political district of Moedling, and are mainly cultivated along the hillside of the Anninger and Eichkogel mountains. Our oldest vines are over 50 years old.
Some of our most important sites:
“Stubenberger“ with Rotgipfler and Zierfandler,
„Leitn“ with Weißburgunder and Grüner Veltliner,
„Haberl“ with Weißburgunder Reserve,
„In den Kapellen“ with Rheinriesling and
„Tatzen“ with Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and St. Laurent.
Our oldest vines are over 50 years old. The vineyards are expanded wisely and supplemented with good locations.
From the Grape to the Bottle:
In the cellar, the fully matured grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, traditional wooden barrels, or in 300 liter barrels made with oak from the Viennese Forest. Thanks to the temperature controlled fermentation, our wines show the distinct characteristics of each varietal and have a harmonious structure.
The Thermenregion in the Vienna Woods:
In the south of Vienna you can find the lower Austrian wine growing region Thermenregion-Wienerwald, which stretches from Perchtoldsdorf to Wiener Neustadt. The region is home of a large variety of soils, ranging from warm sand to shell limestone to clay. These soils offer ideal conditions to produce full-bodied white ines and fruit forward red wines. The Thermenregion, located on the doorstep of Vienna, is especially known for native white varietals called Ziefandler and Rotgipfler, and the red Burgundy varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent.
